Established in 1993, the business is based in Sydney and operates across Australia. Our expertise extends over new build developments, tenancy remodelling and tenancy relocations, from small to multi-floor projects.

Built around a core group of accomplished ‘design strategist’ and ‘entrepreneurs of ideas’, our knowledge, exceptional ability, creative talent, and experience, ensure inspirational, balanced, performance driven interior solutions.

Meet Elizabeth Bruce

Elizabeth is our director and owner, is the foundation of many years of commercial and corporate interior design and management expertise. Elizabeth has a Degree in Interior Architecture and a Diploma in Project Management and has been practicing in this capacity for over 3 decades. Elizabeth is one of Sydney’s most highly respected Interior Architects.

Elizabeth has been Design director for the DIA – Design Institute of Australia (NSW), has conducted seminars and has been a design adjudicator for industry awards. She was featured on the TV morning show ‘Today’ and radio ‘2GB’ and ‘2UE’ for her efforts in designing the interiors for the ‘Royal Hospital for Women’ in Randwick Sydney.

Elizabeth and Hughesbruce, have been featured in editorials and recently as one of Australia’s most innovative designer and management groups.

Elizabeth has been responsible for new concept strategies and planning for many multi-national corporations and was recommended to the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and consulate to design and formulate a new concept office, ‘the virtual office’, that was implemented globally.

She has proven, on many occasions, her exceptional skills in space planning and her ability to resolve challenging briefs and design complexities with ease. Her expertise and experience provide confidence and surety for success.

Emma Katehos

Meet Emma Katehos

Emma is our senior creative designer and account manager. She graduated with honours and has been with Hughesbruce for over 20yrs.

Emma has exceptional skills in all areas of design including, space analysis and planning, conceptual design, detailed design and resolution. She is dedicated, thorough, diligent, naturally gifted in design, and has contributed to the success of many complex projects.

Emma has proficient skills in automated documentation and has been responsible for the companies processes and standards. She is largely responsible for the design concept presentations and documentation packages.

One of Emma’s greatest assets is her warm and humorous personality, which reflects in her communication skills and client rapport. Emma is a very capable designer and is a very valued member of the team for both her skills and her personality.

Meet Charlotte Allison

Charlotte is our young designer with exceptional skills in design concepts, marketing, social media and communication. Graduating in 2016 with distinctions she possesses a high level of design ability and passion.

Charlotte’s professionalism and dedication is a wonderful asset to the business and our customers projects. Her personality is warm and engaging and this is reflected in her skills to discuss options with our customers to resolve the best outcomes.
